Limited-edition poster series: Tara McPherson "Lara’s Journey"

Back in July we announced a limited-edition poster series helmed by four iconic artists, each putting a unique spin on Rise of the Tomb Raider’s main themes. Renowned comic artist Geof Darrow tackled “Woman Vs. Wild” at San Diego Comic Con, pitting Lara against some of nature’s most formidable foes.

Our Gamescom reveal came from the collective brain of award-winning London design studio La Boca, telling a tale of exploration, discovery, and “Tombs”.

The third poster, available as a pre-order bonus from Gamestop, came from Kid Robot CEO and iconic poster artist Frank Kozik. His stylized contribution focused on the “Guerrilla Combat” central to Rise of the Tomb Raider’s combat.

Revealed today, the fourth and final poster chronicles “Lara’s Journey”, conceptualized by New York City-based artist Tara McPherson. Once called the “crown princess of poster art”, McPherson’s done work for Beck, Mastodon, and Modest Mouse, alongside her extensive body of original fine art work, exploring themes of “myths and legends, astronomy, nature, love, childhood and good old life experience”.
