The IMDB portal lists the sequel to Tomb Raider for the year 2021

The famous IMDB portal specialized in storing information about the film industry just listed the sequel of Tomb Raider today to being released in the year 2021. So the release date would be set in that year. Probably the filming of the film begins imminently sometime in the beginning of 2020 so it would not be surprising that at the end of this year we begin to hear about the casting. At the moment, Alicia Vikander is confirmed to play Lara Croft, Amy Jump will be the screenwriter of the film and according to many rumors, it is possible that the director of the film is Ben Wheatley, husband of Amy Jump and regular contributor to all her projects.

Also certain rumors suggest that the film could be inspired by "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" and be shot in Latin America although this information is not yet confirmed.
