Lara Croft’s Final G.I. Joe Figure Design Revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2026

Coinciding with the official opening of San Diego Comic-Con 2026, Hasbro and G.I. Joe have unveiled the final version of their new Lara Croft figure, created in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics as part of the celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of Tomb Raider.

Comic-Con opens its doors today, Thursday, July 23, at the San Diego Convention Center and will run through Sunday, July 26, following its traditional Preview Night held yesterday evening. Hasbro had specifically reserved the event’s opening day for the full reveal of the figure and the official launch of its pre-order period.

The collaboration brings Lara Croft into the G.I. Joe Classified Series, a line of highly articulated six-inch figures aimed primarily at collectors. Until now, only digital images and an early 3D render of the character had been shown, making the San Diego presentation the first opportunity to see the final appearance of the product.

A Tribute to the Different Eras of Lara Croft

The design combines elements of the archaeologist’s classic appearance with details drawn from her more modern adventures. The result aims to represent the character’s new unified vision, connecting the original Lara of the 1990s with the protagonist of the trilogy that began in 2013.

The figure is fully articulated and includes an extensive selection of accessories inspired by different moments throughout the franchise: her iconic dual pistols, a bow and quiver, two climbing axes, a grappling hook, machete, backpack, interchangeable heads and the legendary Dagger of Xian, the powerful artifact at the center of Tomb Raider II.

The inclusion of weapons and equipment from both the classic games and the Survivor era turns this edition into a physical journey through Lara Croft’s evolution over three decades. It is not simply a matter of placing the character inside a G.I. Joe box, but of creating a collectible capable of representing multiple versions of the adventurer.

A Collaboration That Goes Beyond the Figure

The partnership between Tomb Raider and G.I. Joe will not be limited to collectibles. Lara Croft has already made a surprise appearance in the comic book G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #330, paving the way for a five-issue miniseries titled G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero/Tomb Raider.

The new story will begin publication on October 7, 2026, and will take Lara to Cobra Island, where she will have to work alongside several members of G.I. Joe to beat Destro and Baroness in the search for a mysterious treasure.

The figure is part of Crystal Dynamics’ wider program celebrating 30 years of Tomb Raider. Throughout 2026, the company is developing collaborations involving video games, comics, fashion, collectibles, artwork and other commemorative products dedicated to Lara Croft’s legacy.
