Production of the "Tomb Raider" sequel, seeks an actor to play the character of Commander Rourke.

According to new information provided by the Geek Vibes Nation news portal, Tomb Raider’s sequel, which is being directed by Misha Green; is looking for a new male lead. The new film is looking to cast the role of Commander Rourke (Shadow of the Tomb Raider).

Rourke is described as an International Assassin with 30 or 40 years old. The really interesting part of this news is that apparently, they’re looking for a Robert Pattinson type. This does not mean that Robert Pattinson has been selected for the film, we simply mean that they are taking this famous actor as a reference to find someone to play the role.

In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Rourke was a highly decorated U.S. Special Forces soldier with a spotless record of successful black ops around the world. Trinity approached Rourke to recruit him to lead their military forces based on his reputation alone. In his new position, Rourke answered only to Trinity's High Council and served as the second-in-command to Dr. Pedro Dominguez.

On the other hand, Alicia Vikander will return to play Lara Croft and it is estimated that Kristin Scott Thomas will also repeat her role as Ana Miller.
