Lara Croft Joins G.I. JOE in a New Comic Book Crossover

The Tomb Raider universe is once again crossing paths with another major franchise. As part of the celebrations for Tomb Raider’s 30th anniversary, Lara Croft is preparing to enter the world of G.I. JOE, a collaboration that has already started to take shape with a special collectible figure and, according to new reports, would also have its own comic book crossover planned for October 2026.

The idea could not be more powerful: Lara Croft, one of the most iconic adventurers in video game history, sharing the stage with one of the most legendary military action franchises in pop culture. Ancient relics, secret operations, technology, danger, and plenty of action seem like the perfect ingredients for this unexpected encounter.

One of the most interesting details is that Tomb Raider had gone a very long time without collaborating with other franchises in the comic book world. Its last major crossover era dates back to 2005, during the Top Cow/Image period, when Lara shared pages with characters from universes such as Witchblade, The Darkness, Magdalena, Vampirella, and Monster War.

The image attached to the article appears to be a leak showing pages from the upcoming comic, giving fans an early glimpse at what this long-awaited crossover could look like.
