New details about the Tomb Raider 2 casting and its budget.
Tomb Raider sequel production continues to move forward. This April was going to start filming but due to the current health situation, the production had to be moved to summer for the start of filming. At the moment the summer date is still immovable and the main idea is to be able to start filming during the summer, however, a new delay is not ruled out in case the situation due to the coronavirus does not improve quickly. New information also indicates that filming could move to Los Angeles (Hollywood) to try to shoot some scenes there and not delay the start of filming much longer.
We start with new data on the next movie.
The casting is currently looking for a caucasian man between 30-50 years to be the villain of the film, although the producer warns that the main villain will be Ana Miller (Kristin Scott Thomas). This minor villain may be Kosntantin (Rise of the Tomb Raider)
As we announced a few months ago, there will be a female co-star who will help Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander) in the adventure, new data has just been leaked indicating that the producer is currently looking for a hispanic / latina woman from about 25 years. Maybe Unuratu or Abby (Shadow of the Tomb Raider).
The casting is also looking for a 40-50 year old man who will help Lara on her journey.
The idea of Lu Ren (Daniel Wu) returning is still possible although no new details have been released.
The producer estimates a budget for the new film around 60 million dollars, the budget for the previous film was 94 million.
