The anime series about Tomb Raider will have two seasons with Netflix.

Little by little, new information appears about the Netflix project signed with Square Enix and Legendary to make an anime series based on the successful Tomb Raider franchise.
According to the information portal Variety, Netflix would have signed with Square Enix for (initially) two seasons about the adventures of Lara Croft after the events seen in the video game "Shadow of the Tomb Raider", in addition, the first season ( which is currently in progress) will feature 8 episodes of 22 minutes each. This last information has also been confirmed by Tasha Huo, (showrunner and main scriptwriter of the anime) in a recent podcast where she talked about her project in the series.
Tomb Raider has led to a global franchise encompassing movies, merchandise and comic books. The new Netflix-Legendary project marks Lara Croft’s first appearance in an animated series. The most recent game release, Shadow of the Tomb Raider garnered great acclaim.
The anime series will be written by Tasha Huo (The Witcher: Blood Origin, Red Sonja), who will executive produce with dj2 Entertainment Founder and CEO Dmitri M. Johnson (Sonic the Hedgehog) as well as Stephan Bugaj and Howard Bliss. Jacob Robinson will also serve as EP on this series under his company Tractor Pants.
